Towed (trailer) aerial work platform introduction

The vehicle-mounted aerial work platform has a long history of development. Because of its agility and continuous power, it is widely used in all walks of life, especially the municipal industry. At present, the highest vehicle-mounted platform can reach more than 110 meters. The vehicle-mounted aerial work platform has the following components:

(1) Special chassis for automobiles. The modified chassis can be updated with the development of science and technology, and will be developed in the direction of ultra-hybrid and pure electric in the future. Currently fuel-driven, consisting of a launcher, a frame, a running mechanism, and a steering mechanism, will be restricted by comprehensive requirements for work reliability, noise, and emissions.

(2) Boom installation. The working installation of the boom consists of a turntable, a boom (sleeve telescopic or folding telescopic type), and a telescopic chain. The turntable is mounted on the frame through a slewing support device and is driven by a slewing mechanism to complete 360° full rotation. The slewing mechanism includes a planetary reducer, a normally closed brake, a hydraulic motor, etc., and the slewing bearing adopts an external meshing transmission mode; in recent years, an integrated worm gear slewing drive installation has also been used.

 (3) Outriggers. The outriggers are divided into frog-style outriggers, H-shaped outriggers and telescopic outriggers. The frog leg is a folding leg, and the H leg is a vertical lifting leg. The telescopic leg is mainly used in large-scale vehicle-mounted aerial work platforms to increase the support range and ensure the stability of the vehicle.

 (4) Electrical and hydraulic systems. The hydraulic system is generally an open system, the hydraulic pump is driven by the power take-off, and the power take-off is connected with the gearbox of the engine. The oil pump supplies oil for the turntable rotation, boom luffing and boom telescoping, outriggers and fine adjustment of the leveling mechanism. The hydraulic system is equipped with safety relief valves, hydraulic locks and other safety installations.

For convenient operation, there are 2 sets of operating mechanisms, namely the air (on the side of the chassis) operating mechanism and the remote control operating mechanism. The two sets of mechanisms have interlocking functions, and only one of them can be used to stop the operation control.

 (5) Safe installation. Equipped with an electric/manual emergency system. When the chassis launcher and the main pump hydraulic system are faulty, the work installation can be reduced to the driving state with the help of a miniature combined hydraulic pump station powered by a 12V chassis power supply, or a manual pump. The emergency landing valve can also be used to stop the operation and complete the boom landing reset. Both the air operation panel and the remote control operation panel are equipped with an emergency stop button, which is used to forcibly stop various movements of the driving system and work installation in an emergency.

In addition, an anti-tilt sensor is installed on the equipment chassis. When the inclination of the body is> 5°, the equipment idling system will immediately alarm, and the sensor can emit intermittent alarm sounds through the buzzer. The amplitude limit installation can automatically detect the extension length and elevation angle of the boom, and limit the operating range within the safe range according to the preset data. When the maximum operating range is reached, the boom movement is automatically stopped. Similarly, the working bucket also has a degree sensor. When the working bucket is tilted beyond 10°, the system will lock all actions to ensure safety.
